In October 2007, SMC conducted a survey of its members in order to gain an accurate picture of the current levels of ICT provision and activity. The results of this survey were mapped against those of the last ICT survey, which was conducted in 2004 just after the launch of the ICT strategy. The findings are one way in which the impact of the strategy over its three-year timeframe can be assessed as well as a useful indicator of issues and trends in the sector.
