This was the home, gallery and studio from 1901 to 1933 of the artist E.A. Hornel, one of the Glasgow Boys. It contains many of his paintings, his collection of Dumfries and Galloway books (including a major Robert Burns collection), as well as manuscripts and personal and local ephemera.
