The Museum of Lead Mining has something for everyone. Situated in Wanlockhead, Scotland's highest village, the museum offers visitors a chance to explore the rich culture and heritage of the area through taking a guided tour down the mine, around the period cottage or into the Subscription Library (the 2nd oldest in Britain).
