A varied collection, covering everyday rural life in Fife, and much more besides. The recently-restored buildings include the 1673 tolbooth, complete with jougs at the door and a prisoner in the dungeon. The old weigh-house is now home to a collection of weights and measures. Since the Museum opened in 1968, donations cover everything from bars of soap to box beds and bicycles, dolls' prams to farm carts, mouse-traps to steam engines. There is something to stimulate every visitor's interest.
