Historylinks Museum

Highland

HISTORYLINKS is dedicated to the history of Dornoch and the surrounding area. The permanent exhibition includes the Cathedral, feuding clans and Scotland’s last witch. Current displays show a golf professional’s workshop where Donald Ross honed his skills, an unusual insight of Andrew Carnegie at home in Skibo and unique films of The Dornoch Railway and Sutherland in 1950.There is much to involve children with puzzles, quizzes and dressing up. Starting from HISTORYLINKS is a trail around 16 historic sites with accompanying guide maps, booklets and audio CD’s in several languages. Primary and secondary school packs are available with teachers notes.
