The museum is justifiably proud of its collection of dinosaur fossils, as they are the first recorded examples found in Scotland. Amongst other fascinating displays are Neolithic artefacts including arrowheads and flint scrapers (2,000 BC), minerals and crystals found in the local igneous strata and a collection of agricultural implements (1850 to 1940).
