Paxton House

Scottish Borders

Paxton House is the finest Palladian Country House in Scotland. Designed by John Adam in 1758-60, the house contains the largest collection of Chippendale furniture and the biggest picture gallery in a Scottish house. The gallery acts as an outstation of the National Galleries of Scotland, with 70 paintings from the national collection. Open April - October.
