Museums Galleries Scotland wishes to commission a firm to develop a new Customer Relationship Management database to replace the current database systems.
Background
Museums Galleries Scotland is the lead body for the funding, development and advocacy of over 340 museums and galleries in Scotland. We are the recognised representative of and advisor to a membership which includes all 32 local authorities, 162 independent trusts, 7 regimental trusts, 9 universities and 3 national collections. Our vision is of a welcoming museums and galleries sector that opens doors and celebrates collections, inspiring creativity, learning and enjoyment for all.
Museums Galleries Scotland is planning to redevelop its database systems, and wishes to use the opportunity to ensure that users’ current and future needs are accounted for.

The contract will begin on appointment with an anticipated completing date for the project of March 2009.
Development requirements
Design and implementation of a new CRM database. Migration of data from existing systems.
