Aberdeen Maritime Museum
Aberdeen’s award winning Maritime Museum is situated on the historic Shiprow, giving visitors a fantastic viewpoint over the harbour. It incorporates a few different buildings, including a former church and Provost Ross’s House. It tells the story of Aberdeen’s long relationship with the North Sea and houses collections covering fast sailing ships, shipbuilding, fishing and port history and you can also see displays on the North Sea oil industry.
The wonderful collection of objects and maritime paintings are utilised to the full with computer visual databases, touch screen consoles and hands-on exhibits. Enjoy a delicious meal at the Leading Lights Café or treat yourself to a few souvenirs at the gift shop.
