Banff Museum

Banff Museum was founded in 1828 and is one of Scotland’s oldest museums. It houses material relating to the social and natural history of the town and close areas.

The collections include, scientific instruments that belonged to the astronomer, James Ferguson and the natural history collection of Thomas Edward. You can also see on display an electro-type copy of the Deskford Carnyx, a 2,000 year old Celtic war trumpet. You can also view arms and armour and nationally important collections of Banff silver.
