Brechin Town House Museum

The museum is situated in the heart of Brechin City centre and the collections are housed on the ground floor of the former Brechin Town House.

The collections were gathered together by the Brechin Town Council and the displays highlight the history of the town, from the tenth century to the present day. On display are objects showing the once thriving textile and engineering industries, medieval objects and Brechin’s civic and military history. There are also themed temporary exhibitions.

There is also a large collection of work by artist, painter and etcher David Waterson, who was born in Brechin in 1870.
