Dollar Museum

The Dollar Museum was set up in 1988 and is an independent local museum. The museum is dedicated to the history and heritage of the village and has a wide-ranging collection.

The exhibitions display Dollar’s past from prehistoric times to the present day. You can view a neolithic carved stone ball and a piece of bone from a Bronze Age Dollar person. The jewel in the crown, is a collection of 750 photos taken by Peter Wilson of the Devon Valley Railway, which ran from Alloa to Kinross.

Visit the Dollar Museum Shop, where they sell postcards, books of local interest, notelets, fridge magnets and coasters, plus other items featuring drawings by Jennifer Campbell, illustrator and artist.
