Museum of Childhood
Enjoy a fun day out for all the family at the Museum of Childhood. The museum is set in two historic buildings that were constructed in the eighteenth century. It is the first museum in the world dedicated to the history of childhood, displaying toys and games from across the generations. The museum also looks at other aspects of growing up, from schooldays to clothing.
Not only can the adults reminisce about their favourite barbie doll or corgi car, the children will love looking at the dolls, teddies, trains and cars. They can listen to the sounds of a 1930s schoolroom and see a recreated Victorian street, showing all the outdoor toys the children would have played with.
