The Auld Kirk Museum
The Grade A listed building was built in 1644 and is one of the oldest to be still standing in Kirkintilloch. It once served as the town hall, council chambers, court house, jail and school but is now home to the award winning Auld Kirk Museum.
The museum houses a fine collection of objects of local, national and international significance. There is a local history collection that includes Roman artefacts, coal mining and boat building. Also on display is a huge range of local and social history objects, which includes history & technology, home & domestic life, documents, photographs and paintings.
