Our own mission to achieve the vision is to

provide a strategic lead and support the development of the sector to unlock the potential of museums and galleries in Scotland.
Our aims are to

advocate and communicate the contribution museums and galleries make to people’s lives

support the development of museums and galleries

build partnerships and sustainable relationships at national, local and regional levels

promote and provide excellent customer services

build an evidence base to inform policy and support decision-making.
The information on this site will transfer over at the end of summer 2008 to a new
Museums Galleries Scotland website currently under development.
