The majority of Board members are elected by the membership.
The maximum number of Board members is seventeen, the minimum nine.
Board membership includes:
a. a Chairman;
b. up to two Directors who shall have the local authority qualification (each a “Local Authority Director”);
c. up to three Directors who shall have the local authority museum qualification (each a “Local Authority Curator Director”);
d. up to two Directors who shall have the independent museum qualification (each an “Independent Director”);
e. one Director who shall have the university qualification (the “University Director”); and
f. one Director who shall have the regimental museum qualification (the “Regimental Director”).
Overall Board membership is balanced to reflect a range of interests and skills. Board members include ‘non aligned’ members who provide a valuable external perspective.
