The majority of Board members are elected by the membership.
The maximum number of Board members is seventeen, the minimum nine.
Board membership includes:
a. a Chairman;
b. up to two Directors who shall have the local authority qualification (each a �Local Authority Director�);
c. up to three Directors who shall have the local authority museum qualification (each a �Local Authority Curator Director�);
d. up to two Directors who shall have the independent museum qualification (each an �Independent Director�);
e. one Director who shall have the university qualification (the �University Director�); and
f. one Director who shall have the regimental museum qualification (the �Regimental Director�).
Overall Board membership is balanced to reflect a range of interests and skills. Board members include �non aligned� members who provide a valuable external perspective.
