Becoming a member of Museums Galleries Scotland

We have two levels of membership, Associate and Full.

Associate membership is open to any organisation with charitable status, which has, or intends to have, a collection. Associate members have access to all Museums Galleries Scotland services except grants.

Full membership is open to any organisation that is registered under the Museums Accreditation Scheme run by MLA (the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council). Full members have access to all our services, including grants, and are entitled to vote at the annual election of the Chair and Board.

At both levels, members can benefit from access to a range of information, advice and services. We also provide opportunities for networking between members and acts as an advocate for the sector.

If you are interested in membership, wish to discuss your eligibility, request an introductory pack, or pursue an application, please contact us.
