The UK Joint Forum is the result of a landmark agreement signed by the administrations in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The aim of the forum is to provide collaboration and cooperation on museums, archives and library issues.
The Scottish Executive nominated SMC as the lead strategic organisation to represent the museum sector on the joint forum.
