There are numerous funding programmes within this category, administered by different departments of the European Commission. The key factors for these funds are:

There are some exceptions to the above guidelines � you will need to check each individual programme for it's exact criteria. Funding for projects may come from other departments, for programmes relating to education, training, or technology.

It is likely that after 2006, the focus of European cultural funding will be on Trans-national funds, and the partnership approach to funding that this advocates.

Culture 2000
Aims to promote cultural diversity throughout the EU by providing funding for projects to encourage innovation and creativity between the Member States and to reflect the interests of operators in the cultural sector.
