Learning and Access

For both museums and the country, learning is a major, untapped, opportunity. As public spaces with rich collections, museums can be exciting, dynamic environments to inspire and enable learning for both individuals and groups.

Every museum has the potential to encourage learning. People learn in different ways and require different stimuli to engage them. Museums are uniquely placed to provide varied, stimulating and enjoyable learning experiences for all ages and abilities through their artefacts, resources, stories and facilities. Learning can be:
