Regional Development Challenge Fund

The Scottish Government launched the Regional Development Challenge Fund (RDCF) in December 2003.

The aim of the fund was to develop the capacity and sustainability of the museum sector through active partnerships. The funding has enabled museums to create active partnerships across local authority boundaries, between local authority and independent museums and with the national museums. These partnerships have allowed museums to be able to link into and be part of other initiatives between developing regional partnerships. The funding has given museums the opportunity to work creatively with other partners to build significant projects which will bring a range of benefits to museum users of all ages and to build new audiences.

Ten partnerships have been granted funding and you can learn more about the exciting work they are doing by clicking on the links below.
